The Adventure Aquarium
This aquarium is located in the Camden Waterfront section of Camden, NJ. There is always something to see for most sea animal lovers. Last time we went, we saw the penguins hanging outside. They have hippos, turtles and plenty of other swimming things to see here. It’s great that there is an aquarium in South Jersey, the next closet one is in Baltimore.
The Camden Children’s Garden
This place is awesome. There are so many benefits of visiting a garden. It is a great place to take your children and enjoy the greenery. They often have educational events and have opportunities to host your own child’s birthday party as well. The highlight of our visit here was the Butterfly House.
Amalthea Cellars Farm Winery
Next, in the mood for wine? Check out a local Camden County winery. This one is located in Winslow Township, NJ and is a great place to take the family or just sip some wine with a close friend or significant other. They have a great selection of wine and have seating under the shade if you are ducking the sun. You can also bring your own blanket and buy some cheese if you are going for more of a picnic vibe. Lastly, there are options to bring your own food or have it delivered.
Walter K. Gordon Theater
Check out a show or some art at Walter K. Gordon Theater at Rutgers University Camden. The art here is impressive. They also offer shows and concerts on location. This is a unique place to add some excitement while hanging out in Camden County. Finally, be sure to check online first to see what is being exhibited.
Berlin Farmer’s Market
The Berlin Farmer’s market has a lot to offer. When the weather is warmer, it doubles in size with many vendors outside selling items. The Berlin Market is the last of a dying breed. So many other markets have closed down, it is nice to see one still standing in South Jersey. At the Berlin Farmer’s Market you can eat some delicious food, play video games and buy some clothes all in one spot. Plus, mall big brand store traffic.
